what's the national student letter all about?

This federal election,

young Canadians aged 18 to 38 make up the single largest voting bloc in the country - composing over 37% of the electorate. Students and young people have the power to change the outcome of this election and they are voting.

Students from across Canada, throughout colleges and universities alike, are calling on federal political parties to make a commitment to young Canadians, students, and their families within their platforms and campaign promises by addressing education and student issues.

The National Student Letter

was created through the efforts of student associations at post-secondary institutions across Canada who have been preparing to engage their students to vote in the upcoming federal election and wanted to come together to let our federal parties know what issues are critical to the students who will be voting.

Students call on federal parties to address the rising cost of education, to create work-integrated learning opportunities and high quality jobs for recent graduates, and to support Indigenous students and communities.

900,00 student voices

from across Canada are represented on this letter by their student associations and this number is only growing.
